CCR By Daniel Ramos

The final Chapter.....

First off I have had so much fun doing this project it has been such a blast and I have meet so many talented people and worked very hard to produce this film. This is the final blog and quite honestly I'm going to be a little upset that this project is over, nevertheless, I'm proud of how the movie came and how hard we worked on the film. I would like to say thank you to my partner Natalia Banos for working on this project with me and having everything run as smoothly as it did and everyone that also contributed to the film. I hope you enjoy my final product!!!

Settings......

There are three settings where the film will take place and the movie concept has somewhat changed but we finally were able to get the permission of Johnny Rockets and although that area will be the flashback portion and not the most crucial part it is still interesting to see how we could implement the 1950's into this. Furthermore I have spoken to local hospitals to see if we were allowed to film in the hospital and I plan on speaking to them personally since it has been very difficult to get in contact with them directly luckily I have some friends that volunteer there that will be able to ask for me and help me out in that sense. There will also be a very cool lake scene with my sister and my little cousin and this is to show the intimate connection that i want the viewers to have with the characters as character development will be crucial in this opening film. Very excited for whats to come!!!!!

7 years....

So some of the musical concepts that Nati and I were talking about are going to be prominent in the opening of the film which includes 7 years by Luke Grahm. This song talks about the struggles of life as time passes and how the hardships of going through this is what makes life so realistic and authentic and I personally think it would be an amazing piece to have it be added in the film. Although I  don't believe we would be using the original, personally, I would like it if only the piano was introduced in order to not interrupt any of the scenes being shown. Furthermore if we can play on only having a karaoke version or just piano version it makes the movie more intimate and gives the tone of sadness. Since the opening scene will be in the hospital I think it would be very evident to have a stripped down version of this piece. I have emailed and asked two versions of this piece in order to see if i could get the rights for this film project and I'm waiting back to see what they respond let's hope for the best. I am really stoked for the final product of the film.

Through aging eyes

I started working on the title of the film and it has been quite challenging coming up with a title name. I really like the title Through aging eyes and I feel like it would go well with the theme of the opening film.  I got the concept of the title from an from an indoor percussion show that has the same title although it does not necessarily follow the same storyline. I added the indoor show in case you guys wanted to see what indoor percussion was and all that.

More over I am still trying to figure out whether to have the title of the film be in the very beginning or at the end of the piece. Either one works for me however I want the title to be impactful and have a   meaning to it. Nati and I were discussing some titles for the film and she cam up with the title of remembering and then the main characters name being present in the title as well. What i really like about that is that it makes the film even more personal and shows more of a characters interpretation as it shows more of a connection with the audience and makes it more believable.

Staring at something....

I want to work with the use of flashbacks in the film. Nati and I need to discuss in which we have to figure out the where the movie is heading. I don't necessarily think we should have it be a love story but more of the theme of reminiscence and how there is a vital loss of life. We have stated doing an opening shot of the hospital while having having the voiceover ion a lifeline be prominent throughout the opening film. We wanted the grandmother to show how she is in the afterlife using the devices such as mise-en-scene of the costume design to emphasize her afterlife and the departure of her life and if it isn't her that is going to be in the afterlife it is going to be the grandfather that is present and having that be the flashback. I was able to contact Cleveland Clinic and we are able to film there and be able to get some shots of back and forth between the lifeline and deathbed.
